More Troubled CUs Merged Out

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – NCUA reported Friday it has approved several more mergers of ailing credit unions, those reporting losses or no growth, or both.

Among those being merged out are: Four-Sixteen FCU, North Brunswick, N.J. (into E 53 FCU); Anderson County (S.C.) Educators FCU, Anderson, S.C. (into S.C. State FCU); Dynamic Healthcare Employees FCU, Evansville, Ind. (into Centurian FCU); Hocking Valley FCU, Athens, Ohio (into Atomic FCU); Nickel Plate FCU, Cleveland (into NYC Mercury FCU); First Insurance FCU, Honolulu (into Aloha Pacific FCU) and Transport CU, Fife, Wash.(into America’s CU).

The other mergers approved were: UFirst FCU and Northern Corridor Community FCU; Louviers FCU and Newark Del City Employees FCU; Saint Margaret’s and Gregory CU and Holy Trinity Church of Bedford Heights; Bossier FCU and Atlas Employees FCU; Calcasieu Federal Employees FCU and CPE FCU; and Park City CU and Ward Paper Company Employees CU.

NCUA approved a total of 14 mergers in July.
