Mortgage Rates Flat Again

WASHINGTON – Home loan rates were little changed for the second straight week, as the spread between payments for different loans widened, according to the latest survey from Freddie Mac.

The average rate for the 30-year, fixed-rate loan remained unchanged this week at 4.5%; while the average for the 15-year loan inched up to 3.69%, from 3.67% last week.

ARM rates were mixed, with the average for the five year ARM dipping slightly to 3.25%, from 3.27%; and the average for the one-year ARM moving up to 2.99%, from 2.97% last week.
