WASHINGTON – Mortgage rates dipped slightly towards record lows this week, according to Freddie Mac.
The average for the 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage slipped to 3.99% this week, from 4.0% last week; while the average for the 15-year loan dipped to 3.30%, from 3.31%.
ARM rates rose slightly, with the average for the five-year ARM moving to 2.98%, from 2.96%; and the average for the one-year ARM rising to 2.95%, from 2.88% last week.
