WASHINGTON – Mortgage rates fell still lower this week, to all-time lows, according to Freddie Mac.
The average for the 30-year, fixed-rate loan slipped from 3.40% last week to 3.36% this week, which was the lowest since long-term mortgages began in the 1950s. The average for the 15-year loan also fell, from 2.73% to 2.69%.
ARM rates, also near all-time lows, were mixed, with the average for the one-year ARM dipping from 2.60% to 2.57%; and the average for the five-year ARM inching up from 2.71% to 2.72%.
