TEMPE, Ariz. – Seven-in-ten credit union marketers will see either a flat budget or a budget reduction in 2009, according to a new study.
The survey of alumni of Credit Union Marketing University found 30% have increasing 2009 marketing budgets, while 30% are keeping their marketing budgets the same, and 40% are seeing slight decreases. Asset sizes of the participating CUs ranged from $45 million to $800 million, most of which have community charters.
Forty percent of participants indicated their budget will be more than 0.2% of assets, with the same survey showing in prior years that most community charter credit unions had indicated budgets of at least 0.2% to 0.3% of assets.
Credit Union Marketing University is a unit of LemmonTree Enterprises.
