Mother And Son Jailed For Heist

GULFPORT, Miss.-A 27-year-old man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the March 2007 robbery at Keesler FCU in Biloxi, he committed with the help of his mother.

William Bell, who had six prior felony convictions, was sentenced as a habitual offender, meaning he will serve the full term without the possibility of parole. He and his mother, Kathy Bell, both of Biloxi, entered guilty pleas in October. Kathy Bell, 46, was charged with accessory after the fact of robbery and the two burglaries. She was sentenced in October to six years in prison. The son was captured after leading police on a high-speed chase that ended with his vehicle bursting into flames.
