ROCHESTER, N.H. - (05/16/05) -- Multi-cultural members of HolyRosary CU will be able to communicate with a member service rep intheir native tongue with the credit union's new interactivelanguage translation service. So far the service has been tested inFrench, Greek, Filipino and Indonesian, with as many as 150languages available. The service connects a member with atranslating system over a speakphone, allowing the member toconduct business with a member service rep using a translator.Credit union officials hope the system helps reduce stress andother concerns for its multi-cultural members while they conductfinancial transactions.
