‘Mummy’ Bandit’ To Be Entombed In Prison

PHILADELPHIA – A man suspected of robbing five area credit unions and banks in 2007, at least one while wearing gauze to hide is face, pleaded guilty yesterday to bank robbery charges.

Christopher Larue, 30, dubbed the Mummy Bandit by authorities, was tracked down because a teller at PNC Bank inserted a global positioning device in the stack of $1,500 he stole from the bank.

Among the institutions he hit was Bucks FCU in Warrington, where he got away with a mere $580.
