The new branch, near Nellis Air Force Base, will serve active and retired military personnel in the Las Vegas metro area. The $36-billion credit union hopes to attract military personnel from Nellis and Creech Air Force Base at Indian Springs, as well as the large population of military retirees in the metro area.

The credit union also has a branch at Fallon Naval Air Station. Navy Federal has opened more than 60 branches in the last two years as it expanded to serve the entire U.S. military population, and now operates more than 130 branches around the world.
