VIENNA, Va. – Navy FCU has rolled out an auto referral program designed to make it easier for members to save on their next new or used vehicle.
The program offers members low, pre-arranged pricing on or below invoice at certain area auto dealers. The credit union’s auto buying specialists will provide members with high-level assistance throughout the buying process, seven days a week.
The program contractually prohibits dealers from flipping a member to other auto finance services.
The Cleveland-based bank is projecting steady growth in net interest income even as credit losses remain manageable. But Chairman and CEO Chris Gorman also said that he thinks a recession is likely.
The first-quarter increase stemmed from higher interest rates, partial charge-offs and certain problem loans, many involving commercial real estate, executives at the Dallas bank say. Further CRE deterioration is anticipated.
