BILOXI, Miss. – Navy FCU will continue its expansion into non-Navy facilities with a new branch here Monday to serve more than 15,000 U.S. Air Force and Department of Defense personnel at Keesler Air Force Base.
The credit union giant’s first branch opening of the year will be its 25th location on or near an Air Force base. In addition to the branch near Keesler AFB, Navy Federal has two branches in the immediate area, one in Gulfport at Naval Construction Battalion Center and one in Orange Grove.
The $45 billion credit union has 173,000 members since its field of membership expanded in 2008 to include Air Force and Army personnel, as well as Department of Defense civilians.
Navy Federal added 27 branches in 2010 and now operates 213 facilities around the globe.
