VIENNA, Va. – Navy FCU will open a new branch, its 214th, this morning in Browns Mills, N.J., to serve employees and families at McGuire Air Force Base, Fort Dix and the Naval Air Engineering Station Lakehurst.
The 2,048-square-foot branch is located in the Pine Grove Plaza Shopping Center, and is less than two miles from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.
The rapidly expanding credit union giant plans to open nine branches this year and relocate eight others.
The new branch complements Navy Federal’s existing network in New Jersey, which includes a branch at Naval Weapons Station Earle in Colts Neck and a branch in Cherry Hill.
The $45 billion credit union has added 181,000 members since it expanded outside the Navy in 2008 to include all current and retired members of the military and Department of Defense civilians.
