NCUA Announces Educational Series on Strategic Planning

The National Credit Union Administration announced today a video series focused on educating credit union board members on the "fundamental" concepts of strategic planning.

Designed by NCUA's Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives (OSCUI), the four-part educational series is meant to inform board members on how to prepare for a strategic planning meeting, who should be involved during the process and how to set strategic goals, the regulator said in a statement announcing the plan. The series comes as part of a larger initiative focusing on educating boards on important topics such as effective board management, credit union policies and procedures and mergers.

Also paired with the series is an online test that attempts to "measure what they learned and earn a certificate of completion if they have a satisfactory score," the NCUA said.
