The proposed Atlantic FCU charter would allow the $275 million Kenilworth, N.J.-based former AT&T employees credit union to serve 1.3 million people in New Jersey’s Essex and Union counties.

The proposal for The Focus FCU would allow the $90 million Oklahoma City-based hospital employees credit union to serve 1.2 million people surrounding Oklahoma City.

The NCUA Board will also consider a new rule that will instruct what parameters credit unions must use when buying investments, since they are longer required to use the ratings of Wall Street agencies.
