NCUA on Wednesday published details on
Three former employees of the $13 million-asset OTS FCU in Honolulu — Jenny Nishida, Dona Takushi and Nicole Cheung, — pleaded guilty to charges of embezzlement and misapplication of funds.
Nishida was ordered to pay $330,560 and sentenced to 13 months in prison. Takushi, who also pleaded guilty to making false entries, was ordered to pay restitution of $78,139 and sentenced to 15 months in prison. Cheung was ordered to pay restitution of $21,607 and sentenced to 20 days in prison.
Lois Morabito, previously a staff member at the $15 million-asset Leominster CU in Leominster, Mass., admitted to facts sufficient for a guilty plea on several charges, including larceny and forged records. She was ordered to pay restitution of $5,867.
Two former credit union employees agreed to the prohibition orders to administrative litigation. They include Jan Lyle, previously the chief executive at the former $5 million-asset Health Care Professionals of Napa FCU; and Patricia Simko, who previously worked at the $54 million-asset ACMG FCU in Solvay, N.Y.
