NCUA Releases Cyber Fraud Education Videos

ALEXANDRIA, Va.—NCUA on Wednesday released two online videos aimed at educating consumers about cyber fraud.

The videos, which are available on the agency's YouTube channel, include an overview of how online criminals initiate contact with consumers. They also provide techniques for identifying and reporting data breaches or instances of fraud.

"We all must contribute to protecting the broader credit union system," said Debbie Matz, NCUA's chairman, in a press release. "Ongoing member education on topics such as detecting, avoiding and preventing fraud not only protects a credit union's reputation, but it also helps members maintain their financial well-being."

The YouTube videos were developed by the NCUA's Office of Consumer Protection.
