NCUA released a video Monday aimed at educating executives about field of membership options available for federal credit unions.

The 7.5-minute video, "Strive to Thrive and Serve," includes an overview of membership designations and requirements. It also provides suggestions for assessing how a FOM change could fit within a CU's strategic plan.
"A strong membership base is ultimately the cornerstone of a credit union's success," said Debbie Matz, NCUA's chairman, in a press release. "I encourage credit unions to take full advantage of the resources we have made available to help them increase membership penetration and growth."
