NCUA Says Free Ad Time Worth $2.6 Million

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — NCUA released an estimate last week that it has received more than $2.6-million in donated advertising for its "NCUA-safe" multi-media public education campaign.

The campaign, featuring nationally-known personal finance expert Suze Orman, combines :30 and :60-second television and radio ads, and outdoor and indoor posters, and promotes the safety of federal insurance for credit union member deposits.

NCUA said it has received free advertising on national networks, including CBS, ION and WGN, along with a high profile message board on Times Square.
