ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) will host an internal controls and accounting webinar on Wednesday June 22 at 2pm EST. The 90-minute free webinar will cover strategies that "are essential to safe and sound credit union operations," according to a press release put out by the organization. There will also be a 30-minute question-and-answer session.
The webinar panel will be moderated by Dominic Carullo, economic development specialist with NCUA's Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives. The panel includes:
- NCUA Supervision Director Scott Near
- Region IV Supervision Analyst Carolyn Penaluna
- Region III Examiner Kerri Piekarski
The panel will address expected changes to the allowance for loan losses, best internal control practices for small CUs, understanding of grant accounting and the NCUA call report.
