DALLAS – A displaced auto worker saved her way to Neighborhood CU’s $25,000 savings contest grand prize.

Tiniska Brooks, who took an employee buyout from General Motors and plans to go to nursing school, was notified of her grand prize last Saturday at her parents home in Arlington, where she lives.
Under Neighborhood CU’s savings contest members receive one drawing for every $25 monthly average balance in their Prize Savings Accounts. The gerater the savings, the greater the chance of winning.
Throughout the year drawings are held for smaller prizes, including gift certificates, DVD players and plasma TVs. At the end of the year, a grand prize winner is drawn.
