LAS VEGAS – Nevada FCU, the state’s largest federally insured credit union, announced a new name this morning, One Nevada CU, to reflect its conversion to state charter encompassing the majority of the state’s 3 million residents.
“Our new name and charter expansion will provide affordable credit union benefits to thousands more Nevadans. It also allows us the flexibility for growth and expansion in the future,” said Brad Beal, president of he $670 million credit union.
Beal told the Credit Union Journal the state charter, which includes Las Vegas’s Clark County, as well as Washoe and Nye counties surrounding Reno, will cover the vast majority of the state’s residents.
One Nevada CU has 19 branches and almost 80,000 members.
