New Headquarters Marks CU's GoldenAnniversary

PARK FALLS, Wis. - (04/28/04) -- Northwoods Community CU celebratedits 50th anniversary this week with a move into a new officeproject. The $40 million credit union, chartered in 1953 to serveemployees of the Flambeau Paper Co., now serves residents of sevensurrounding counties. The new headquarters is an 11,000-square-footfacility located on Highway 13 on the south side of Park Falls, andfeatures a four-lane drive-up, Internet cafĚ for members, atoy room for kids, and a 1,000-foot room for communityuse.
