DES MOINES Gov.- New Governor Chet Culver, sworn in on Friday, made a number of kep appointments, including the reappointment of James Forney as superintendent of credit unions. Forney has been serving in the position since 1988, when he was appointed by then-Gov. Terry Branstad. The Iowa regulator has chief jurisdiction over about 140 state chartered credit unions.
