ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – New Mexico Educators FCU said it has contracted with Southwest Corporate FCU to provide consumer remote deposit services for its members, the second credit union to sign up for the service.
Member Capture enables members to deposit checks from their home or business using a scanner-equipped computer and the credit union’s online home banking system. No software or special equipment is required of the member; the program works with a common flatbed or all-in-one style scanner.
New Mexico Educators began using Southwest Corporate for item processing in January 2005 and for Branch Capture remote deposit in February 2008. The established business relationship influenced the credit union’s decision to partner with Southwest Corporate again. The credit union expects to go live with Member Capture in June, using the service designation "Anywhere Deposit."
