NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - (05/12/06) Newport News ShipbuildingEmployees' Credit Union announced it has made a $25,000contribution to Christopher Newport University to establish theNewport News Shipbuilding Employees' Credit Union Endowed MeritAward. The award will provide scholarship help for merit studentsat university. Matching funds from the Endowed Merit ScholarshipChallenge will create an endowed scholarship of $50,000 over thenext five years.
