NJCUL Taps Gentile For CEO Post

HIGHTSTOWN, N.J. - After a series of CEO replacements, the New Jersey Credit Union League has tapped Paul Gentile to take the reins.

Gentile, who currently serves as editor and publisher of Credit Union Times, will start his tenure at the league Dec. 3.

The league has been contracting with former Iowa CU League CEO Tom Griffiths for management consulting services in the wake of the league's dismissal of Robert S. Walls, Sr. Walls left his former post as CEO of the Delaware CU League in mid-2005 to take over at the New Jersey League, which had undergone a shakeup when it was discovered that former NJCUL CEO Shaughnessy had embezzled $300,000 from the league.

The league offered no explanation for its dismissal of Walls.
