MALONE, N.Y. – North Franklin FCU yesterday announced a “going green” promotion through which it will deposit $1 in each member’s share account for every energy-efficient light bulb the member buys, up to ten in number.
The member must show a receipt or other proof of purchase.
The light bulb program is one of several green initiatives undertaken by the credit union. Others include: magazine recycling drop-offs, bottle drives and newspaper collections.
The bank was determined, by multiple industry rankings and experts, to be the best mobile banking provider in the U.S.. Bank of America took second place.
