FSCC, Ongoing Operations Team Up

HAGERSTOWN, Md.-Financial Service Centers Cooperative Inc. (FSCC) and Ongoing Operations (OGO) announced they will be providing mobile branch recovery services to assist credit unions during any type of disaster. The mobile branch recovery services solution will provide a complete operational branch including shared branching services.

FSCC and OGO will be working with credit unions on signing up for this service. Depending on the severity of the disaster, a mobile branch can be deployed within 48 hours.

CUNA Brokerage Launches Fund

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa-The senior leadership team at CUNA Brokerage Services, using their own personal contributions to get things started, has launched the "Give Back Fund" with the purpose of giving to families in need. The fund was originally established to help families who experienced hardship as a result of natural disasters, such as the floods and tornadoes that ravaged the Midwest this year. The Give Back account is held at the Cedar Falls Community Credit Union. Within one hour of the first request for donations, the e-mail exchange resulted in 15 personal pledges exceeding $4,100.

Ellie Mae Wins Patent For ePASS

PLEASANTON, Calif.-Ellie Mae won a patent for its ePASS technology from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Ellie Mae's ePASS is a platform that allows loan originators to transmit mortgage information via the Internet, to lenders and other partners, directly from the originators' loan origination software.

The patent is the first in a series of patent applications filed by Ellie Mae to protect its proprietary loan origination systems and business-to-business commerce in the mortgage industry.

CUSC Signs Two More CUs

WASHINGTON-Credit Union Student Choice announced that Addison Avenue FCU and HawaiiUSA FCU have signed on to offer the CUSO's private student lending solution. The two credit unions will join 18 others who have already partnered with CU Student Choice.

The private student loan features zero origination fees, significantly lower interest rates, in-school deferred payment, co-signer release, and a graduated repayment option. The product is structured as a line of credit.
