Collections Firm Signs McCoy FCU

Processing Content

ORLANDO, Fla.-The $402-million McCoy FCU has signed with Solutions in Finance Inc., a collections and lending operations consulting firm for credit unions nationwide, to help the credit union evaluate its collections operation. Following the evaluation, McCoy contracted with Akcelerant to implement a new system. The other suggestion was to revamp workflows within different areas of its collections department such as repossessions, remarketing, legal, non-clerical, etc.

The evaluation also helped McCoy establish a system where collectors are reviewed based on effectiveness of service rather than just conducting a high call volume, and a staff member was designated to manage the accounts sent to collection agencies for evaluation instead of the collection supervisor.
