CU Ups Insurance Penetration
FORT WORTH, Texas-State National Companies said Empower FCU has been able to increase its credit life and disability program penetration rate to nearly 52% after converting its program to SNC. The Syracuse, N.Y.-based CU converted its credit life and disability insurance business to SNC, which provided a program underwritten by Transamerica Financial Life Insurance Company. As a direct result, the company said, the CU's penetration rate has increased to almost 52% of loan dollars, representing a growth of nearly 50% over its prior program.

Gallup FCU Signs Up With CUSN
LAKEWOOD, Colo.-Credit Union Service Network said Gallup FCU has become a shared branching "issuer" credit union, offering its members access to more than 3,700 locations nationwide. The Omaha, Neb.-based CU said the primary reason it became an issuer was convenience for its members.

SEATTLE-International Airline Employees FCU has selected Pemco Technologies for credit and debit processing and ATM issuing services. The Rosedale, N.Y.-based CU said the move was driven by IAEFCU's plan to become a virtual credit union.

CU Acceptance Co. Now On AppOne
BATON ROUGE, La.-Wolters Kluwer Financial Services said Credit Union Acceptance Company, a CUSO that represents 130 credit unions in the indirect auto finance market, has joined its AppOne credit union platform.
AppOne provides risk mitigation, compliance and Internet-based workflow automation technology to auto dealers and auto lenders.
