QwickRate Offers CD Solution

ATLANTA-QwickRate has launched a new eContact functionality that allows credit union investors to buy certificates of deposit (CDs) directly from community banks through an electronic offer/acceptance process.

The company said that with eContact, all communication, document retrieval and data entry are handled automatically through QwickRate's interface.

"The investor communicates its willingness to purchase a CD from a bank by initiating an e-mail communication through the QwickRate network. The e-mail contains all of the investment details along with a link which allows the bank access to a secure website where the investor's information, CIP and corporate documentation can be viewed and printed in hard copy format," QwickRate said.

In the first seven weeks of operation more than $205 million was invested through QwickRate's new eContact process. As of May 10th, there were 265 banks and 160 investors who are placing their investments, and the number of participants continues to increase each day, according to QwickRate.
