CFS Introduces Small CU Consortium
SAN DIEGO-CUSO Financial Services, LP (CFS) has introduced a consortium program for smaller credit unions, most of which do not offer any type of investment program for members due to limited resources. In the consortium program, an investment representative works with each of the respective credit union staffs, with one adviser typically supporting three to five credit unions, working at least one day per week at each CU's office and also available by phone.
CFS's dataVISION technology platform is the base solution for the offering. CFS said several Georgia credit unions, including CORE Credit Union, Fort Stewart Georgia FCU and Georgia Heritage FCU have recently signed on.

Delta CCU, Level5 Partner Again
ATLANTA-LEVEL5 announced another partnership with Atlanta-based Delta Community Credit Union (DCCU) to help develop a new branch located on Highway 34 East in Newnan. This new branch is part of the retail delivery plan LEVEL5 created with DCCU to increase its market share and better serve an expanded charter.
The new branch will be in southwest Atlanta, an area with significant growth. The branch is being developed as part of the Summit Healthplex complex in conjunction with Out-Med, LLC, a medical development firm. The complex will house medical and professional offices and a new restaurant plus DCCU. Occupancy in the three-story building is expected in May 2008.

Clayco Designs Office For USFCU
BRISTOL, Tenn.-Clayco has completed design and started construction on the United Southeast Federal Credit Union in Bristol, Tenn.
The two-story, 16,000-square-foot facility will serve as the new main office and branch CU facility and will feature four traditional lobby tellers, one sit-down teller to accommodate members with accessibility concerns, and a convenient drive-up facility. Construction began in March and is scheduled for completion in late November.

Synergent Adds Four Credit Unions
WESTBROOK, Maine-Synergent's Electronic Check Collection program continues to expand, as CVPS Employees CU, Brewer FCU, Saco Valley CU and Lawrence Firefighters FCU recently joined the list of CUs that take part in Electronic Check Collection through Synergent's Check Processing and Support Services Department. Officials said there are currently 60 CUs in six New England states that send their check collection to Synergent electronically.
