Breaks On Student Loans
MONTPELIER, Vt.-Vermont State Employees CU (VSECU) is offering $5,000 breaks on student loans for three college students as part of its Student Loan Independence for Today, or LIFT, promotion.
CEO Steve Post explained that VSECU will make the monthly loan payment directly to the lender for the three winning members. For those with payments of about $350 per month, the award covers approximately 18 months of payments. Any Vermont resident (and VSECU) member) with student debt can apply, and $5,000 awards are available in three categories-Financial Need, Service to Vermonters and Financial Literacy. Each category has different requirements to win.
MAFCU Offers 'Everyday Specials'

Variety of Incentives Being Offered
RIVERDALE, Utah-America First CU is offering consumers in Utah and southern Nevada incentives on products like auto loans, signature loans, mortgage/home equity loans and more as part of its summer campaign.
In addition to 2.99% auto loan rates, no-fee first mortgages and home equity lines, the CU is also partnering with Cumulus Media to sponsor the Endless Summer of Giveaways, which ran through September 17. Members could win a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport, as well as Disneyland Resort Park Hopper tickets and iPads.
Members received an automatic entry for every $1,000 they borrow, and could also enter online, at special events or through the mail up to five times throughout the contest period. Non-members could also enter.
Twenty semifinalists were randomly selected and the grand prize drawing was held Sept. 29 at the CU's headquarters in Riverdale.
