ROCKY HILL, Conn.-Nutmeg State FCU has launched an auto buying service it says will save members time, money and hassles. The credit union said its new service will eliminate the high pressure of the negotiation process, get the color and options a member wants on a new or used car or truck, and get a good price and avoid dealer fees. Nutmeg said it is further distinguishing itself with an impressive turnaround time on loans.
Mountain America Credit Union Adds 'My Money Manager'
WEST JORDAN, Utah-Mountain America CU has introduced "My Money Manager," a free service it said is designed to help members better manage their money, not just at the credit union. The web-based service securely collects members' financial information from all of their accounts at various financial institutions, brokers and other providers and organizes it in one location to easily track expenses, create budgets, set goals and plan for the future.
My Money Manager also includes innovative graphs such as "bubble" budgets that quickly show spending patterns and areas of concern, better than traditional bar graphs can.

Credit Union ONE Adds 'Saving Is Fun Kids Club' For Members 11 & Under
FERNDALE, Mich.-Credit Union ONE has introduced a "Saving Is Fun Kids Club," a youth account geared at children age 11 years and younger. Children who are new or existing members at the CU can join club mascots "The Money Mammals" to learn about saving and spending, all while earning prizes and incentive-based rewards, playing games and "watching their money grow."
CU ONE has created a microsite for club members that it says includes fun activities, contests, promotions and discounts, as well as tools for parents and teachers to help youngsters develop savings habits.

Fibre FCU Becomes Sixth CU In Washington To Join 'Save To Win'
LONGVIEW, Wash.-Fibre FCU here now participates in Save To Win, one of only six CUs in Washington State that are taking part in the savings rewards program.
For every $25 that members deposit into these certificate accounts members are given an entry for a chance to win a grand prize of $5,000 annually; there are 10 chances to win each month.
Save To Win was developed and piloted in Michigan, and now has a footing in several other states, including North Carolina, Nebraska and Washington. All prizes in Washington are underwritten and managed by participating CUs and the Northwest CU Association.
Army Aviation Center Partners With Troy University On Debit Cards
DALEVILLE, Ala.-Army Aviation Center FCU has partnered with the Troy University Athletic Department to offer members a new Troy Athletic Debit Card. The card features a photo of the Troy University football team on its face and is the only debit card that is the official debit card of Troy Athletics. There is no charge to order the card, but current AACFCU debit cardholders are being made aware that their card numbers will change when they switch cards.
Energy Federal Targets 'Green' Members With Several New Loans
ROCKVILLE, Md.-Energy FCU is offering a variety of products and incentives for members interested in "going green," including:
* For those seeking to purchase appliances that are energy-efficient or who want to make energy-efficient improvements to their home, Energy FCU is offering a Green Energy Signature Loan in amounts up to $25,000 and terms up to 84 months.
* A Solar or Geo-Thermal System Loan is being offered that is a real estate-secured, fixed-rate loan with 5-, 10- or 15-year terms and is designed for people installing solar or geo-thermal systems. Purchases may also qualify for a rebate at settlement.
* A full 1% discount off of an applicant's qualifying loan rate is being offered on hybrid vehicles.
St. Mary's Bank Offering Funds To Assist Buyers In FHLB Program
MANCHESTER, N.H.-St. Mary's Bank, the nation's first credit union, is offering to cover downpayment and closing costs for income-eligible households. St. Mary's has been approved for up to $150,000 in funding from the Federal Home Loan Bank's Equity Builder program (EBP). The funds can also be used for homebuyer counseling and rehabilitation assistance.
The EBP provides funds to St. Mary's Bank and other members to assist households with incomes at or below 80% of the area median income. Borrowers must meet program guidelines. Available on a first come, first served basis while funds remain.
