Oklahoma GAC Draws 300

The Oklahoma league's 2003 Governmental Affairs Conference attracted nearly 300 credit union professionals and volunteers and 80 members of the state's legislative body. Held at the Ramada Inn and Conference Center, the event kicked off with the Oklahoma Credit Union Political Action Committee Annual Meeting, followed by a legislative reception where 80 state lawmakers were in attendance. Appearances were made by Speaker of the House Larry Adair; Asst. Majority Leader Sen. Herb Rozell, Majority Leader Sen. Keith Leftwich, and Majority Floor Leader Larry Rice. Oklahoma Gov. Brad Henry also spoke to the meeting, as did other senators and representatives. Frosty Troy, well-known as editor of the Oklahoma Observer and as a television commentator, also spoke.
