One Year Later, Members Show They 'Like' Service

FERNDALE, Mich.--One year after launching a Facebook page that included member chat and responses to member questions on financial issues, Credit Union ONE said members are now regularly posting questions and participating in web seminars. Credit Union ONE said its "The ONE To Ask" Facebook chat has also included quarterly live sessions during which it responds to member inquiries related to debt, products, lending and more. CEO Gary Moody frequently hosts the exchanges.

An e-mail blast is sent to Credit Union ONE members and Facebook posts are issued to let fans know in advance that a session has been scheduled, and encouraging them to participate. The last session showed new likes spiked by 15, directly attributable to the e-mail blast sent right before the session, the credit union reported. Approximately 10 questions were received during the session, with many fans posting to each other.
