PORTLAND, Ore. – OnPoint CU is setting up a Facebook-like website for its mobile banking user community and also plans to offer contactless mobile payments using US Tyfone’s microSD contactless-enabled memory card.
The social media approach will help the $2.6 billion credit union receive feedback from members testing the service, helping to shape member service.
Tyfone’s u4ia SMC is a memory card-based mobile contactless payments service with integrated NFC chipset (secure element), controller and integrated antenna. The u4ia SMC card stores the so-called secure element, which includes a mobile payment application. The card can work with any Secure Digital memory card slot, in any form factor (micro, mini, regular).
