WASHINGTON — One year after introducing its The Complete Credit Union Solution DNA release, Open Solutions reporting that 112 credit unions have now moved to the solution.
Based on a .NET platform, Micky Goldwasser, VP-Product Marketing said TCCUS DNA offers enhanced navigation, has added workflow improvement tools, and features wizards to provide assistance. Moreover, there are a reduced number of screens, a single sign-on, SAF architecture, and additional benefits credit unions have been able to leverage, Goldwasser said.
"The biggest thing has been the wizards and the simpler navigation," Goldwasser said. "We like to ask, 'What do you want in a system that you do not have now?' We study how they interact with what they use so that decisions aren't made in a vacuum. People have been very happy with it."
Goldwasser said just about every CU client is scheduled to upgrade to the DNA solution, which he believes should be seen as more than just a DP system. "Credit unions get lumped in with all financial services providers, but they need to say 'We're different and here's how,'" he said. "Technology can make you more efficient and numble and allow you to offer more products to members. Credit unions are still in the best position. They still have the trust of their members. It's not just a Hallmark card. People are angry at financial institutions."
One tool CUs are using with DNA is the ability to better mine data, with Goldwasser noting, "People don't mind an offer being made to them as long as it's the right offer at the right time." TCCUS DNA ncludes a profile screen allowing the teller/MSR to see all the member's account relationships and balances on one screen.
The increased number of service channels, said Goldwasser, has only made it more difficult and critical to communicate consistently and with a "feeling of common bond." "No matter how the member accesses the credit union, it has to be a great experience," said Goldwasser.
