Operation Best Wishes To East Coast

WesCorp has expanded its Operation Best Wishes program to the east coast.

In conjunction with CIA Studios, a division of San Juan Capistrano, Calif.-based Counter Intelligence Associates (CIA), WesCorp in 2004 unveiled a program that allowed family members to send live video messages to loved ones serving overseas in the military during the holidays.

This Thanksgiving season, Operation Best Wishes will expand to the east coast with web recording sessions scheduled for Nov. 14 and 15 at Marine FCU in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, and Nov. 17 and 18 at Navy FCU in Norfolk, Virginia.

In early December, Operation Best Wishes will return to Southern California with web recording sessions slated for North Island Credit Union, Coronado Naval Station; Pacific Marine Credit Union, Camp Pendleton Marine Base; and Wescom Credit Union.

"Credit union members are family and when part of our family cannot be together over the holidays, we do something about it," said WesCorp spokesperson Walt Laskos.

Military family member overseas can watch the recording "live" via the Internet and respond using instant text messaging, or access the webcast message as an archive file posted for later viewing on www.operationbestwishes.com. The event is being offered free.

Counter Intelligence Associates is a CUSO of CommunityAmerica Credit Union in Kansas City.
