EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon Community CU notified its members last week that laptop computers were stolen from one of its outside auditors that may contain information about members.

The auditors arrived at the credit union on Oct. 29 and had their laptops stolen after the left the building, the credit union said in a letter to members. The credit union did not disclose where or how the computers were stolen.
The audit firm doesn't know what was on the laptops at the time of the theft. Some of that information may include names, addresses and member numbers. But the credit union believes the risk to members is minimal.
However, the credit union is urging members to watch their accounts.
