The "spokester" will use social media to reach out to the Gen Y age group, young adults ages 18 to 25. That will include weekly blog and video posts, as well as regular Twitter posts regarding financial education. The individual also will attend ORNL FCU events as a representative.

Applicants must fill out a personal information form, complete a blog post and upload a 60-second video to YouTube. Three final applicants will be determined by interview, and an online vote will determine which of the three should receive the job. Online voting will take place March 15-28; the winning "spokester" will be announced April 9.

The job pays $2,500 a month and comes with a company car, a Nissan Cube.
