TAMPA, Fla. -- A serial filer of patent claims against financial companies filed suit yesterday against Suncoast Schools FCU claiming the Tampa credit union is infringing on its patent for the process of facilitating transmission of secure messages across insecure networks.
Wolf Run filed similar suits last month against State Farm CU, State Farm Bank and State Street Bank and Trust, and has sued numerous financial services providers in recent years, including Jack Henry & Associates, Fidelity National Information Services, Online Resources Corp., Harland Financial Solutions, Huntington National Bank, City National Bank, CitiBank, OneWest Bank, Rabobank, TD Bank and Texas Bank, among others.
