Payrailz rebrands its CUSO just 3 months after launch

Digital payments company Payrailz has changed the name of its credit union service organization from CU Payz to CU Railz in an effort to maintain brand consistency.

Payrailz launched the CUSO on August 8.

The new name also loops in the platform's variety of payment rails including real-time payments and Mastercard's Bill Pay Exchange.

The name change will also support continued growth by aligning the two brands, according to a press release from the company.

CU Railz has six founding member credit unions including Coastal Credit Union, Farmers Insurance Federal Credit Union, Georgia's Own Credit Union, Meritrust Credit Union, Teachers Credit Union and TwinStar Credit Union. The CUSO’s was formed in part by working with two other CUSOs, MEMBERS Development Co. and Constellation Digital Partners.

CU Payz is open to both credit unions and other CUSOs.

As reported, the credit union space has been moving aggressively toward payments solutions, with four new entities launching so far this year alone, including CU Railz.
