Pentagon FCU Triples Election Participation Via E-voting

Pentagon FCU nearly tripled its election participation by moving to an electronic voting format, according to Laura Egan, CUES eVote(tm) election coordinator.

Egan served as the "Teller of Election" at Pentagon FCU's annual meeting, where more than 8,000 took part in the election utilizing the CUES eVote online voting system, compared to just 2,825 the previous year.

In her role as Teller of Election, Egan administered, reviewed and verified the CU's 2006 board election results.

"It's the right thing to do to always have an election, but we were always concerned about the cost. When we found out what CUES eVote could do for us, it was the right thing to do for the right cost," commented Pentagon Federal Credit Union Board Chairman Col. James F. Quinn.
