People First FCU’s Fran Muto Ends 36 Years In CUs

ALLENTOWN, Penn. – Fran Muto, longtime president of People First FCU who began his credit union career as an NCUA examiner in 1974, announced last week he is retiring from the credit union.

Muto built the one-time, single-sponsor credit union from just $4 million in assets to a $374 million community charter during his tenure.

Susan Phillips, the credit union’s vice president and chief information officer, has been named by its board of directors as acting president.
