HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. – A teller at People’s Alliance FCU was arrested Wednesday and charged with stealing $5,340 from credit union members' accounts.
Nicole Martens, 22, who worked there for a year and a half, took the funds last week, between Dec. 1 and Dec. 5, police said. An internal investigation uncovered the theft.
Those who lost funds will be reimbursed by the credit union.
