WAMPSVILLE, N.Y. - (09/30/04) -- A local man is expected to besentenced to up to eight years in prison after pleading guilty tolast May's robberies at GPO and at Key Bank. Robert Noto, Jr., 46,was pulled over and arrested by police minutes after fleeing thecredit union, without even getting a chance to count the money, hesaid. The $5,680 stolen form the credit union was returned. But therobber told authorities he spent the $8,960 he stole from the bank.There was no weapon shown during either of the hold-ups.
