BOSTON – Police say they tracked down a man who held up an Everett CU branch this morning, then hopped into a waiting cab to make his escape.
The suspect entered the branch around 10 am and passed a note to a teller, before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash outside, where a cab was waiting for him. Police are investigating whether the cab driver was involved or just an unwilling participant.
Police found the cab moments later followed it a few blocks, where the suspect jumped out and started running, only to be quickly arrested.
The suspect did not appear to have a weapon.
