PORTLAND, Ore. – A man in downtown Portland used a taxicab to get away after robbing a Northwest Resource FCU branch Tuesday morning.
The entered the credit union around 10 am, then ran out and flagged down a cab at a transit stop. After flagging down the cab, the robber directed the driver across the river and onto I-5, police said.
Once on the freeway, the robber realized police knew where he was so he stopped the cab on Interstate 5, got out and was immediately arrested, about 10 minutes after the hold-up, police said.
