Branches of Astera CU, Lake Trust Cu and Case CU have been robbed since September, with some branches being hit multiple times.

Following the most recent robbery, in which an Astera branch was targeted, police are searching for a thin man in his early 20s, who passed a teller a note demanding money. He was given the money and left the credit union on foot.

According to a report in the Lansing State Journal, the police report did not indicate if the man was armed.

After an Astera branch was robbed in August, police arrested a Lansing man in connection with that robbery, but he was not involved with the most recent crimes. Police are investigating whether some of the same people were involved with the more recent heists.
